How to Enable or Disable The Presentation Mode Settings in Windows 11/10

Presentation Mode is a feature in Windows 10 designed to help people carrying their Presentations on their portable devices. The User can specify certain settings like volume to be set, screensaver to be used, desktop background to be in place in Presentation mode and when the Presentations mode is enabled, these changes are done to the OS.

• Only people with Admin rights can enable or disable the Presentation Mode Settings
• This feature is only available in Windows Pro, Enterprise, and Education versions.

In this article, let us see how to enable or disable Presentation Mode Settings in Windows 10 in two different ways.

Method 1: Using Registry Editor

Step 1: Open the Run Dialog using the keys  Windows+R

Step 2: Type  regedit  and hit  Enter

Step 3: In the UAC window that opens asking for permissions, click on  Yes

Registry editing can harm the system even with the slightest mistake. It is advised to take the backup of the registry before proceeding. To take a backup, In the Registry Editor–> Go to  File –> Export –> Save your Backup file .

Step 4: In the Registry Editor window, on the search bar at the top, copy-paste the following location

Step 5: If you cannot see the PresentationSettings folder, create one, right-click on Policies, choose New > Key.

Step 6: Name the folder as PresentationSettings

Step 5: Open the PresentationSettings  folder.

Step 6: On the right-hand side, right-click anywhere on the empty area.

Step 7: ChooseNew > DWORD(32-bit) Value.

Step 8: Name the newly created Key NoPresentationSettings

Step 9: Double-click on the key to change its value.

Step 10: To Turn Off or disable the Presentation mode settings, Set the value to 1 click OK

Step 11: If you want to enable the settings ,  set the value to 0 .

Step 12: Restart the System.

Method 2: Using Group Policy Editor

Step 1: Open the Run Command Window using Windows+R.

Step 2: Type gpedit.msc and hit Enter.

Step 3: In the Local Group Policy Editor window that opens, from the left-hand side, navigate to the following location. Simply double-click on the section to expand the selection.

Step 4: On the right-hand side, double-click Turn off Windows presentation settings.

Step 5: To disable this setting, tick on the Disabled option.

Step 6: To Enable, click on the Enabled option.

Step 7: Finally click on the Apply button, followed by OK.

NOTE: Ensure that this setting is applied. If not,

1. Open Run Dialog using Windows+R

2. Type cmd and hold the keys Ctrl+Shift+Enter to open a command prompt in Admin mode.

3. Type  the below command and hit Enter

Step 8: Restart your System.

This feature is like a cockpit for giving presentations. You'll keep all the most important controls front and center while presenting.

PowerPoint Presenter View gives you at least four essential tools that make presenting your slideshow more comfortable:

• In Presenter View , this display keeps your  speaker notes  in view to reference while speaking.
• You'll see a thumbnail for the next slide to begin preparing for your next key point, and you can jump to other slides quickly.
• A timekeeping tool helps you track how long you've been speaking to ensure you don't overrun any time limits.
• Drawing tools allow you to add illustrations on screen while presenting to draw attention to specific parts of your slides.

I'll teach you to use the special Presenter View features to keep your notes and tools close, that way you can present more confidently.

Turn On PowerPoint Presenter View

In PowerPoint for macOS, simply click on  Presenter View  on the  Slide Show  tab to kick off the presentation in Presenter view .

You'll see the Presenter View interface on one screen. The other display will show the "audience version" of the presentation. In other words, it shows what they'll see on a projector screen, or even their own display. 

How to Make the Most of Presenter View

Let's dive into some of my favorite features that Presenter View brings to the table. Using even one of these is reason enough to try out Presenter View in PowerPoint. But when you combine them together, it's a no-brainer.

This is how to use Presenter View on PowerPoint. But the real question is why to use presenter mode PowerPoint. The reason is twofold:

• It helps your slides look better.
• It keeps you organized.

1. Speaker Notes

Speaker Notes is a top feature that works best with Presenter View in PowerPoint. Many presenters will spend time filling out cards or scribbling ideas onto paper. But it's much easier to add them directly into your PowerPoint file.

To add Speaker Notes to a presentation, start off by working in Normal view on PowerPoint's View tab. At the bottom of your screen, you can click on Notes to open up the Speaker Notes section and add your own text.

Speaker Notes and Presenter View go hand in hand. When you're in Presenter View , your speaker notes will show up on the right side of your screen. You can adjust the text size with the icons near the lower right corner. 

Speaker Notes show how to use Presenter View in PowerPoint to your advantage. They help keep you on track as you present on your key topics.

Speaker Notes are important because they avoid the potential of you reading off your slides. Why? Because you don’t have to commit every key detail to memory! You can engage with your audience, all while referring to pre-built notes that they’ll never see.

2. Slide Previews

Let’s face it: you might be sharing a presentation with dozens of different slides inside. When you know how to put PowerPoint in presentation mode, you can get a sneak preview as you present. It’s easy to forget exactly how you sequenced slides together.

With Presenter View , you can stop guessing. That’s because you’ll always have a preview of the next slide in your deck.

As you work in Presenter View in PowerPoint, notice the slide thumbnail in the upper right corner. It’s labeled Next Slide , and that’s exactly what you’re seeing. This helps you transition smoothly from slide to slide. Often, you may set up some closing narration on one slide to help introduce the next. Guesswork and delays are gone, thanks to using Presenter View in PowerPoint.

Knowing how to present on PowerPoint involves keeping slides in a logical order. That means that on occasion, your next slide should no longer be the next one in line. Presenter View helps you handle this situation. 

Across the bottom of the view is a filmstrip of every slide’s thumbnail. You can scroll through it and click on any slide to jump directly to it.

This way, you can jump around in your slide deck without your audience ever knowing it! This helps you drive the flow of your slide deck in real time, with no interruptions or distractions. 

3. Drawing Tools

Like sports commentators do during a broadcast, you can use drawing tools to draw on top of your slides. This is perfect if you've got a tablet for example, but the feature works well for computer users with a mouse too.

To enter the drawing tools, you can click on the icon shown in the PowerPoint screenshot below. This turns on the tools you need to add highlights and annotations to the selected slide.

Annotations are great if you want to call out key details in real time. You can highlight, mark up, or circle any element on a slide. This is how to use Presenter View in PowerPoint in a live environment. You can use it to capture audience attention and focus on details as your narrative flows. 

Choose from tools like the Laser Pointer, Pen, and Highlighter to add annotations to a slide. A laser pointer is a digital version of the popular tool used to draw attention to parts of a slide.

The Pen and Highlighter tools will actually add new marks on top of the slide that your audience will see. 

4. Timekeeping

This feature is straightforward to use, but I can't stress enough how helpful it is. Nothing is worse than giving a presentation and realizing that you used only half of the time. Or that you went far over the time limit.

In Presenter View , you'll see a feature that keeps time above the current slide thumbnail. You can pause this feature with the Pause button or reset the counter with the icon on the far right. But often, it's best to leave it running. This keeps you on pace, on track, and focused on your message. 

Plus, this is how to put PowerPoint in presentation mode to work for you. At a glance, you can see how much time you have left. This may encourage you to speed up your dialogue. Or it may afford you extra time to expound on a key point or new supporting detail. 

I can think of many times when this feature would have been a big help during presentations in college. When you're graded or judged based upon your runtime, it's a great idea to keep that time total in view.

5. Navigate Effortlessly with Keyboard Shortcuts

Presenter mode PowerPoint presentations are easy to navigate. That’s because they work well with a variety of keyboard shortcuts. By using these shortcuts, you can see how to present on PowerPoint efficiently.

Presenter View offers an array of keyboard and mouse shortcuts that you can use as you present. Again, your audience won’t notice this. 

For a look at them, click on the Tips button in the upper left corner of Presenter View . You’ll see a complete cheat sheet of shortcuts listed. Refer to it often and use these tips to navigate through your slides.

How can I edit a presentation while in presentation mode?

I'm looking for a way to present to a live audience and incorporate their input into my presentation. With a "static" presentation, you have to keep taking down, editing, and then re-presenting the slide deck. I'm looking for a way to incorporate and save changes directly into the live presentation.

I use Keynote and PowerPoint, so a method to accomplish this with either would be ideal. But I am open to a solution that requires something else.

• Would a PDF with fillable forms meet your requirements? It's not clear what sort of input you want to accept. If it's just text, then running a PDF reader in full-screen mode might do what you want. –  AFH Commented Jan 10, 2017 at 22:19
• There is no hack. This behavior has been "normal" in Powerpoint at least for quite a while. 99% of people present by duplicating their screen (same thing on projector and their computer) but if you extend your display to the projector Powerpoint by default uses a different mode that has a special view on the computer display an the full-screen slide on the projecting display. And... you can edit in real time, while presenting, with live updates to the slides. –  music2myear Commented Jan 10, 2017 at 23:00

For Windows:

PowerPoint has had this capability for quite some time. The key is to NOT duplicate your computer screen with the presenting screen ( TV, projector, other screen, etc. I'll use "projector" in this how-to for simplicity purposes. ) The only requirement is that you have some screen besides the projector.

With a Windows computer, when you connect to a projector use the Win + P command and choose the Extend the display. This means that your computer screen and the projector will show different things. You can also do this in Display Settings if you're more familiar with that.

PowerPoint has some intelligence to determine which screen is a projector and which is not, but if you need more control over which screen the presentation is on and which one will be your control screen, in the Slide Show tab you'll find Set Up Slide Show, which includes settings for this.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Presenter View (also an option in the Slide Show tab) can make things a little more difficult, but not much. When using Presenter Mode, the default behavior is for the Presenter Mode window to go full-screen, and you cannot edit in Presenter Mode. However, resizing the Presenter Mode window should allow you to easily bring up the main PowerPoint window, which is where the magic will happen.

So, all that aside, the meat of the solution:

Just edit the darn thing. That's all it takes.

With the presentation running happily away on the projector and the main PowerPoint window up on your computer screen, you can edit as much as you please and your edits will be reflected in real-time in the presentation itself ( Note: I've known about the Presenter Mode and running presentations on multiple monitors for years, but am only testing the specifics of editing in PowerPoint 2016. I do not know how the behavior is different in previous versions. ).

I don't know. I could not find specific documentation of this ability/feature for either Keynote or PowerPoint for Mac. While in Windows the Presenter view can be resized, some suggest this is not an option in Office for Mac.

One work around would be to use the Freeze capability of most projectors to freeze the current image on the screen, then exit the presentation on the computer, edit the slideshow, begin it at that slide again, and then unfreeze the projector image.

• Macs an Keynote have generally encouraged people to use the extended desktop, so I'm not surprised you're more familiar with that mode. Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to test on an Apple computer. For Mac using PowerPoint 16:

Open the presentation you want to show. On the Mac menu bar go to window and click New Window.

This will pop out a duplicate PowerPoint presentation. Drag one of them to the second monitor and run it under setup option: "Browsed by an individual (window)"

You can now edit and add slides on the fly in the window that remains on your main desktop without interrupting the presentation. You can even edit the slide that you are currently showing on the screen and it will update automatically as you change it.

Windows 7 x64 using PowerPoint 2016

When using two screens make sure to uncheck "Use Presenter View" and start your slideshow

On Screen 1 you will be able to edit text on the fly and even add slides.

On Screen 2 you will see updates in real-time. If a slide is added in Screen 1 then you will need to activate Screen 2 and press the left or right arrows respectively.

How to Work with Presenter View in PowerPoint

Not all presenters have excellent memory recall or the ability to speak flawlessly to the audience without any cues. However, many of them are good at hiding it by using Presenter View in PowerPoint. It is a presentation mode that enables the presenter to hide speaker notes and presentation controls from the audience while leveraging the various handy features offered by PowerPoint.

How to Use Presenter View in PowerPoint

To start using Presenter View, ensure it’s enabled before you begin your slideshow. If you are new to this feature, we recommend using this option to familiarize yourself with the various navigation options for this presentation mode. This might also be helpful if the PowerPoint templates you are accustomed to using might have animations that you might want to preview in this mode to understand when to give the next visual cue.

How to Enable Presenter View in PowerPoint

To enable PowerPoint presenter view, go to the SlideShow tab and make sure the Use Presenter View option is enabled. This will ensure that you can access Presenter View when you switch your slides to SlideShow mode.

Adjust Display Settings

You can swap between the presenter view and slideshow mode or duplicate the slideshow to exit the Presenter View from the Display Settings menu from the top toolbar.

Navigate Slides in Presenter View

Like any standard PowerPoint presentation in SlideShow mode, you can navigate between slides by using the arrow keys or with a presentation remote. Presenter View also provides slide navigation buttons to move the slides back and forth.

View Taskbar in Presenter View

The Show Taskbar option at the top enables viewing the taskbar. This can be helpful if you require using the taskbar, such as to view your battery charge, see the time, enable or disable another app from the taskbar menu, etc.

Reset or Pause the Timer

Once you start your presentation in Presenter View, a timer starts showing how much time you have spent in slideshow mode. This is an excellent way to understand how much time you have consumed for your session and to keep an eye out for good timekeeping. You can also hit Pause or reset the timer anytime.

Change the Size of the Speaker Notes

How to view notes in PowerPoint while presenting? If you have any speaker notes added to your slides, they will appear in Presenter View on your screen. You can increase or reduce the size of the text via the two options at the bottom of the speaker notes pane.

Using Annotation Tools in Presenter View

PowerPoint annotation tools can be accessed from the bottom toolbar in Presenter View. The Pen and Laser Pointer Tools button gives you access to the pen, ink colors, laser pointer, and eraser and also allows you to show or hide the mouse pointer via Arrow Options .

View All Slides in Presenter View

If you need to go back and forth to find a relevant slide for an ongoing discussion or query during your presentation, you can view all slides in Presenter View via the See all slides option.

Zoom Slides using Presenter View

PowerPoint’s Zoom feature lets presenters quickly pick a portion of the slide to zoom into. Presenter View allows you to leverage this feature by instantly selecting a portion of the slide to enlarge it after selecting Zoom into the slide option. To exit the Zoom mode or hit the Esc key.

Black or Unblack SlideShow

Sometimes, you might want to turn the screen blank for a while, such as during a mid-presentation break. The Black or Unblack SlideShow option blanks the slides for your audience while continuing to show you all navigation options via Presenter View.

Toggle Subtitles in Presenter View

One of the most revolutionary features introduced by Microsoft for PowerPoint over the past decade has been Live captions. This feature enables subtitles by converting speech to text as you present. You can toggle Live subtitles on or off while in presenter view to help your audience read what you speak.

Toggle Camera in Presenter View

Like subtitles, you can also toggle the camera on or off in Presenter View.

End Slideshow in Presenter View

There are different ways to end or exit a SlideShow from Presenter View. You can hit the Esc key or click End Slide Show . Similarly, you can click the three dots at the bottom and select End Show .

More Slideshow Options

Other than the various visibility prominent menus available to navigate, annotate, and present your slides, you can also find a few additional options via More slideshow options , which are accessible via the three dots at the bottom toolbar. These include adjusting the position of the subtitles, turning your screen white or black, ending the slideshow, etc.

How to Use Presenter View on a Single Screen

While Presenter View can be enabled to work with dual monitors, you can also use Presenter View on a single monitor with remote meeting apps like Zoom. A simple method for switching to Presenter View on a single monitor is to click the three dots ( More slideshow options ) at the bottom in SlideShow mode and select Show Presenter View .

You can also switch to Presenter View on a single monitor anytime using the ALT+F5 hotkey.

The presenter can easily manage a PPT in presentation mode, with the utility to view speaker notes, annotate or zoom slides, toggle subtitles or camera on or off, and keep your audience engaged via better slideshow management. However, if you’re new to this presentation mode, a bit of practice might help you avoid confusion when presenting before an audience in Presenter View for the first few times. Hey, Officer Insiders! My name is Victoria Tran, and I’m a Program Manager on the PowerPoint team. I’m thrilled to share that you can now edit notes in Presenter view in PowerPoint for Windows. No more switching to Editor view to type or change your notes, even during a presentation!

Accessing and editing your slide content whenever the need arises is a key part of the PowerPoint workflow. Whether you’re making an important edit to your speaker notes during a presentation rehearsal or jotting down feedback during your presentation, the ability to edit notes in Presenter view increases your productivity and eliminates the need to toggle between views.

We are excited to add this highly requested feature and expand the use of PowerPoint notes. In the future, we’ll continue to add support for editing notes in other views, such as Teleprompter view.

How it works

Ready to edit notes in Presenter view?

NOTE:  You can also press the F6 key to select the Notes pane in Presenter view. When a white outline appears around the pane, press Enter and start typing to make any updates you want.

Known issues

Presenter view currently only allows basic formatting of notes, such as bold, italics, and underlining (via keyboard shortcuts). Formatting such as text color, highlighting, and other options aren’t yet available.

Tips and tricks

• If you are using keyboard commands to navigate through your slides during a presentation, make sure the text insertion point is not showing in the Notes pane. If it is, the arrow keys will move the insertion point around in the pane instead of navigating the slides.
• If you have two monitors, a full-screen slide will show on one monitor and Presenter view on the other monitor, featuring a view of the next slide, your speaker notes, a timer, and more. If you have just one monitor, you can press Alt + F5 to try out Presenter view.

We will be rolling the edit notes in Presenter view feature out to Office Insiders running Beta Channel Version 2204 (Build 15225.20000) or later.

How to Use the Presentation Modes and the Screen Recording Features in PowerPoint

After designing all the slides for your presentation, the next and last step is presenting in front of your audience. In this new Slidesgo School tutorial, you’ll see how the presenter view works and how you can record your presentation .

Presentation Modes

Presentation modes — set up slide show, presentation modes — record slide show.

• There are different presentation modes in PowerPoint, besides the one you can find at the bottom of the screen.
• To access the presentation modes, go to the Slide Show tab.
• The first two options allow you to start the presentation from the beginning or from the currently selected slide.

• If you choose Present Online, an URL will be generated, which you can then share with your potential online viewers. After clicking this button, a new window will open, displaying info about the Microsoft Office online presentation service and a checkbox to enable remote download for your online audience. To enjoy this service, you need an Office 365 account. When you’re ready, click Connect to generate the URL.
• If you choose Custom Slide Show, you can select which slides to display in your presentation.  First, create a new custom slide show and select the slides that you want to display. Then, click Add, enter the name of the presentation and click OK. This new custom presentation will appear on the list. Select it and click Show to begin the presentation.
• In the Set Up group you’ll find options to set up the presentation, hide slides, rehearse your presentation and even record it.
• Click Set Up Slide Show to adjust several settings regarding your presentation. You’ll find more information in the next section of this tutorial .
• If you click Hide Slide, the selected slide won’t show up during your presentation. Hidden slides will appear faded out on the list and their numbers will be crossed out.
• If you click Record Slide Show, you’ll be able to record your presentation from the beginning or from the current slide. We’ll go into detail in the last section of this tutorial.
• There are several checkboxes regarding whether to play narrations, use timings and show media controls.

• In the Monitors group you can choose which screen to display your presentation.
• The last group, Captions & Subtitles, is only available in Office 365. You’ll find options to enable subtitles, which will be generated out of your speech (so you’ll need to have a mic). There are settings to change the language and the position of the subtitles.
• Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
• Go to the Slide Show tab.
• In the Set Up group, click Set Up Slide Show. A new window will open, where you’ll find several options.
• In the top-left corner, under “Show type”, you can choose whether the presentation will be in fullscreen with speaker notes, windowed, or in fullscreen without speaker notes or the menu bar.

• Under “Show options” you can choose whether to show the presentation without narration or animations, or disable the hardware graphics acceleration (for better performance). You can also set the pen and laser pointer color.

• Under “Show slides”, you can choose which slides to show in your presentation. You can select all of them, a specific range or a custom slideshow.
• There are other settings to determine how to advance slides (manually or using timings), what the resolution will be and whether to use the presenter view.
• Click Record Slide Show. From the drop-down menu, select From the Current Slide or From the Beginning.
• A new window will open, along with the presentation in fullscreen mode. At the top-left you’ll find a button to start recording.

Welcome back to Gridiron Notes. This is where you can receive the most up-to-date information about any changes coming to Madden NFL 25. In today’s Title Update we have fixes across multiple game modes. We have presentation and player likeness updates (such as the Air Jordan Cement cleats shown below on Davante Adams) and much more. Let's dive in! 

Playbook Updates:

• WR Mid Screen, Slot Drive, RPO Q Stick Draw added to Gun Trey Open
• MTN Fork H Choice, MTN Hitch ‘n’ Go, MTN Y Post added to Gun Trips TE Flex

• Added logic so that defenders will not be faked out by Double-Pass trick plays when using Pass Commit
• Fixed an issue sometimes causing an ‘effort’ catch to trigger on a catchable pass
• Dev Note: Similar to the kickoff issue, there are other blitzes in addition to the ones fixed in this update that the team is actively working towards addressing as soon as possible.
• Tuning to WR blocking so that defensive backs are able to get off blocks quicker in ratings match-ups favoring the defender
• Tuning to WR/DB block interactions so DBs are able to get off of the blocks quicker when they have the appropriate ratings
• Fixed issues causing sideline characters to go through edge walls in Seattle, Miami and New Orleans stadiums
• Fixed a variety of minor animation issues in Physics Based Tackling
• Tuning to decrease Illegal Man Downfield penalties on RPO’s
• Fixed an issue allowing HB’s to be given backfield hot routes when aligned on the line of scrimmage
• Fixed a rare issue causing the QB to become frozen when being tackled during a specific handoff
• Fixed issues causing defenders to go offsides from pre-snap movement in a variety of defensive formations
• Fixed an issue allowing defenders to sometimes slip through double teams without the appropriate animation
• Fixed an issue allowing players to use the spin move when using the conservative ball-carrier coach adjustment

• Fixed an issue where the camera would freeze during gameplay in The League.

• Fixed an issue where leaderboards could not be sorted by rank or player name.
• Fixed an issue where the rank summary screen was not being displayed properly when a user concedes the game.
• Fixed an issue where incorrect rank icons were being shown in ranked leaderboards.
• Fixed an issue where the top 100 leaderboard did not update to the correct rank icons.
• Fixed an issue where users were set to Bronze or Silver in the Division Leaderboards despite being in placement matches or unranked.

• Addressed an issue where Kick Returners were not able to reach the ball landing spot within the Landing Zone allowing for a specific kickoff tactic.
• Dev Note: There are other variations of kickoff maneuvers in addition to this one that the team is working on getting addressed as soon as possible.
• Added new pursuit logic to further differentiate high-pursuit rated players, improving pursuit angles for better players
• Updated the placement of the ball to be at the 30-yard line after a kickoff goes out of the back of the endzone
• Added logic so that defenders will not be faked out by Double-Pass trick plays when using Pass Commit
• Fixed an issue sometimes causing an ‘effort’ catch to trigger on a catchable pass
• Fixed an issue allowing a free rusher on a specific blitz set-up out of Nickel 2-4 Double Mug and one out of Dollar 3-2 Overload
• Dev Note: Similar to the kickoff issue, there are other blitzes in addition to the ones fixed in this update that the team is actively working towards addressing as soon as possible.
• Tuning to WR blocking so that defensive backs are able to get off blocks quicker in ratings match-ups favoring the defender
• Tuning to WR/DB block interactions so DBs are able to get off of the blocks quicker when they have the appropriate ratings
• Fixed issues causing sideline characters to go through edge walls in Seattle, Miami and New Orleans stadiums
• Fixed a variety of minor animation issues in Physics Based Tackling
• Tuning to decrease Illegal Man Downfield penalties on RPO’s
• Fixed an issue allowing HB’s to be given backfield hot routes when aligned on the line of scrimmage
• Fixed a rare issue causing the QB to become frozen when being tackled during a specific handoff
• Fixed issues causing defenders to go offsides from pre-snap movement in a variety of defensive formations
• Fixed an issue allowing defenders to sometimes slip through double teams without the appropriate animation
• Fixed an issue allowing players to use the spin move when using the conservative ball-carrier coach adjustment

Gameplay Dev Note:

• We have clearly heard players’ desire for improvements to pass coverage, and the team is working on a significant set of improvements in a future title update. The incoming improvements being investigated include:
• Cover 3 Deep Zone
• Match coverage checks vs. bunch sets
• Press animations
• Pass velocity ability tuning
• Zone Drop Coach Adjustments
• In addition to pass coverage, we also have improvements on the way for kickoff exploits, blitzes, AI-play calling and spin-move tuning.

I can't say that I experienced all these gameplay issues, but the offside issue was the most glaring one for me. I lost two games online because I didn't recognize that Tremaine Edmunds' automatic positioning put him offside in the "mug" formation.

Changing this will be significant as that defensive look is as effective for me when I could escape the penalty.

Franchise mode has taken massive leaps this year, but there will always be issues to address as usual.

Here is a look at what changed with the latest update.

• Fixed an issue where the option to “Import Draft Class from Download Center” was removed from within the Franchise League
• Fixed an issue where the wrong player model would display during an Online Draft after pausing and resuming the Draft
• Tuned some areas with our logic to address the issue surrounding our simulation stats to get them more inline

Quite honestly, the only major issue addressed in this update to franchise mode is the simulation stats.

For years, EA has struggled in this area, one way or another. I'll need to test these changes out in a separate franchise mode from my primary one to see if there are any noticeable differences.

Superstar Mode (PS5, Xbox Series X|S & PC only)

EA updated the profanity filter to recognize profane or offensive language more accurately. The other touches to Superstar mode are light.

• Updated the profanity filter flow when importing players from EA Sports College Football.
• Fixed an issue where the camera would freeze during gameplay in The League.
• Fixed text issues in Draft cinematics.

Online H2H Ranked

The leaderboard issues were one of the most significant issues up to today. EA introduced a new system for online play, which is exciting conceptually. However, the Top 100 wasn't updating correctly, with several sorting issues.

It appears those issues have been addressed.

• Fixed an issue where leaderboards could not be sorted by rank or player name.
• Fixed an issue where the rank summary screen was not being displayed properly when a user concedes the game.
• Fixed an issue where incorrect rank icons were being shown in ranked leaderboards.
• Fixed an issue where the top 100 leaderboard did not update to the correct rank icons.
• Fixed an issue where users were set to Bronze or Silver in the Division Leaderboards despite being in placement matches or unranked.

Dev Note: These Online H2H Ranked updates apply to both Online H2H with NFL teams and Ultimate Team’s H2H Ranked mode.

Presentation

Anytime a new stadium is added, that's a plus, but I'm not sure how much play it'll get with most users. The biggest fix is the addition of cameras used during the Super Bowl celebration cutscenes.

• Added São Paulo Stadium in celebration of the NFL’s annual International Games making its debut in Brazil
• Added cameras to Super Bowl celebration cutscenes
• Fixed timing for the player grade summary at the end of Superstar - The League games
• Fixed incorrect helmet appearing in cutscenes with a Team Builder team
• Fixed post play stat milestone banners triggering too frequently in a single game
• Fixed player warping that could occur after a broadcast wipe when the Team option was selected for a touchdown celebration
• Fixed incorrect text on broadcast wipe that said “End of Regulation” at the end of an overtime period
• Fixed broken broadcast wipe if a player is tackled for a safety
• Fixed missing replay after a fake punt
• Fixed coin toss result being displayed before the coin is tossed by the referee in overtime
• Fixed ‘Coaching’ option in pause menu within Practice Mode
• Resized the Celebration mechanic wheel to be smaller and moved away from the center of the screen

A nice set of player likeness updates is coming, including blonde Joe Burrow and an updated look for Kansas City Chiefs' speedy rookie Xavier Worthy.

I'd written about Kate Scott and Brock Huard's commentary being a step behind the other teams. Thankfully, it seems like EA has added more depth across the board.

Here are the audio updates.

• Adjusted the in-game mix levels to make the commentary teams more audible, especially Mike Tirico & Greg Olsen.
• Fixed an issue with music stuttering/skipping as the users load into different modes.
• Added over 6,000 newly recorded lines from Kate Scott & Brock Huard, Mike Tirico & Greg Olsen, and Brandon Gaudin & Charles Davis.
• Bug fixes for commentary speaking incorrectly about the previous play.
• Dev Note: We’re aware the Washington Commanders renamed their stadium to Northwest Stadium. Replacement commentary will come in a future update.

It's going to be a busy month for gaming. The latest update will help ensure Madden stays in rotation.

Control, move, and resize your display with Presenter modes

Note:  Presenter mode customization is available as part of the public preview program and might undergo further changes before being released publicly. To get access to this and other upcoming features, switch to Teams public preview . 

Presenter modes for screen and window sharing merge content and video on the meeting stage. Presenters can now customize how their content will be oriented on screen. In Standout, Reporter, and Side-by-side mode, they can choose to appear on the left or right and adjust their video feed size to better fit their presentation.

Presenters can control how their content is displayed on screen . Customize the presentation layout in Standout, Reporter, and Side-by-side modes. 

1. Before starting the presentation, select  Customize  and choose a background image. 

2. After customizing the look and layout, start the presentation and select a screen or window to share. 

3. The presenter toolbar will appear at the top of the screen. This toolbar is only visible to the presenter. Here, presenters can select and change presenter mode layouts, give control to another person, and enable sound.

Customize video display 

1. Use the top bar buttons in the preview window to direct where videos will appear in relation to the content.  

2. Shift videos to the left or right sides of the screen or window using the Position buttons. 

3. Enlarge or reduce video size using the Size slider. Slide the circle to the left to reduce the size of a video, or to the right to enlarge the size of a video.

Présentation 

Étant donné que les utilisateurs gardent généralement leur adaptateur secteur connecté lorsqu'ils utilisent leur ordinateur portable, la batterie est souvent dans un état de puissance élevée (98 à 100 %) pendant une période prolongée, ce qui entraîne une réduction de sa durée de vie.

Afin de protéger la batterie, Battery Health Charging vous permet de définir la puissance maximale de votre batterie, RSOC (Relative State Of Charge) , ce qui contribue à prolonger la durée de vie de la batterie.

Pour certains modèles, le Battery Health Charging est intégré dans MyASUS. Vous pouvez vérifier le mode d'entretien de la batterie dans les paramètres de l'appareil de MyASUS, comme indiqué ci-dessous.

Si vous ne le trouvez pas dans l'application MyASUS, veuillez vous rendre  ici  pour vérifier si votre ordinateur portable prend en charge le chargement de la batterie.

Lorsque cette application est activée, vous avez le choix entre trois modes, en fonction de vos besoins.

1. Dix minutes après votre première connexion au système d'exploitation, le message "Le paramètre d'alimentation de la batterie est maintenant en mode Pleine capacité." apparaîtra automatiquement. Veuillez cliquer sur "X" pour fermer ce message.

Si vous choisissez de conserver le mode actuel, le message réapparaîtra au bout de 90 jours . Lorsque vous passez à l’un des deux modes (Mode équilibré / Mode de durée de vie maximale), ce message ne réapparaît que lorsque vous revenez au mode par défaut (Mode pleine capacité). 

2. Vous pouvez modifier le paramètre en cliquant sur Configurer maintenant dans le message contextuel, puis fermez la boîte de dialogue.

Déplacez le curseur de la souris sur l'icône de la barre d'état système et cliquez avec le bouton droit de la souris sur l'icône de la batterie pour sélectionner le mode que vous souhaitez utiliser. Le mode actuel peut être vérifié par la couleur indiquée dans la zone des icônes (system tray).

3. L'utilisateur peut choisir entre les différents modes proposés, ayant la possibilité de visualiser sur l’icône même de la batterie la couleur spécifique et intuitive associée à chacun.

A. Mode Capacité maximale (couleur jaune) :  La batterie est chargée à pleine capacité pour une utilisation prolongée sur batterie.

B. Mode équilibré (couleur bleue)  : Arrête la charge lorsque la puissance est supérieure à 80% et reprend la charge lorsque la puissance est inférieure à 78% . Ce mode est recommandé lors de l'utilisation du portable sur batterie lors de réunions ou de conférences.

C. Mode Durée de vie maximale (couleur verte) :  Arrête la charge lorsque la puissance est supérieure à 60% et reprend la charge lorsque la puissance est inférieure à 58% . Ce mode est recommandé lorsque le portable est toujours alimenté par un adaptateur secteur.

EA Sports FC 25: hands-on report

Going toe-to-toe in five-a-side is a match-winner in EA Sports FC’s latest squad addition.

Authenticity and style are hallmarks of EA Sports FC’s take on the beautiful game, and there’s no denying that comes through in EA Sports FC 25, which is warming up for a September 27 launch (with early access from September 20 for those that pre-order the Ultimate Edition).

I had a chance to examine the studs of this latest footballing signing with some time on its pristine new pitch, testing its new tactical options and the enticingly fresh Rush 5v5 experience.

Polish and improvements across the presentation

The gloss expected of EA Sports FC is fully present, with some tweaks made to the TV-style presentation, as well as the style of its matches. The referee and player point-of-view camera for replays and stoppages is used more, offering an up close and personal first-person perspective on goals. The player walkouts have returned to pre-match cutscenes, too, and there are nice little extra in-game details like increased animation on the players’ shirts.

There are also some classic elements that have stayed. DualSense controller feedback is responsive enough to not feel overwhelming when reacting to fouls and shots, while its built-in speaker still captures referee whistles and the oh-so satisfying rustle of the ball hitting the net.

Further to that, many clubs keep some of their highlight chants, whether it’s Manchester City’s Blue Moon, I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles for West Ham (and yes, the actual bubbles floating around the pitch have returned, too) or Allez, Allez, Allez from the stands of Villa Park.

Meanwhile, the emphasis on statistics is as impressive as always, with on-pitch overlays popping up to show details such as shots taken in and around the box, and who are the most fatigued players. As before, they remain informative and – most importantly – unobtrusive to the action.

The gameplay and tactical flow feel good

One of the big things EA is highlighting in EA Sports FC 25 is FC IQ, which tackles the tactical and moment-to-moment elements of the game. Player Roles give each footballer a wider array of on and off the ball behavior, with proficiencies dictating how they act when placed in different positions. In short, it’s even more important to understand a player’s strengths. So you might well have an outstanding goal poacher, but putting them in a false 9 position will only minimize their efficacy.

Which means there’s a greater emphasis on tactical diversity. It’s even more important to ensure you’re harmoniously crafting tactics which suit your players and their familiarity with the Role you’ve given them, handily indicated with a detailed breakdown of each, and a + indicating a proficiency and ++ indicating them being world class.

So to stay on top of an ever changing match, tactical suggestions and pre-sets are now available to select during dead ball moments or pauses such as replays and celebrations. Players move around to their new positions in real time, with a zoomed-in ‘chalkboard’ preview available to see how your team’s shape is affected.

Making quickfire manual or suggested substitutions and tactics in the game is extremely easy, with my changes feeling noticeable both from a visual and gameplay perspective, and even the match commentators noting significant tweaks to my team. EA Sports FC 25 requires less reliance on defensive AI, meaning midfield transitions are even more important and mistakes are more punishable.

A squad of game modes, and more options for women’s football

Traditional game modes from Cup Finals to the match stipulation changing House Rules are all present, including the world dominating Ultimate Team and all-engrossing Player and Manager Career modes. The latter two are also now available for the women’s teams too, with the WSL, NWSL, D1 Féminine, Liga F and Frauen-Bundesliga all playable, as well as the women’s Champions League.

It’s an important and welcome addition to EA Sports FC, bringing valuable parity across all modes, with the level of detail afforded in the men’s league managers, financial models, player likeness and more being given to the women’s options. 

Running the Rush mode

Another big inclusion to EA Sports FC 25 is the 5v5 Rush experience, integrated across all core game modes, which I can see becoming a fan-favorite for those wanting a quick kickabout with a different level of pomp and flavor. Essentially professional five-a-side football with polished, neon green-hued presentation and even more energetic commentators, Rush is EA Sports FC, arcade style.

In Kick off, you pick a squad from your favorite side, dropped onto a smaller pitch and go for goals. To reflect these changes to the norm, you will be presented to a completely different kick off experience where all players race to the ball when it is launched from the side of the pitch. There are no red cards, those being replaced by a blue card that leads to 1 min off pitch punishment to the player. And offsides are also different, instead of being called starting from the halfway line, they are called from the new attacking third line. Aside from that you still have access to all of your skills and techniques from 11 a side. However, the gameplay is so fast, compact and intense that pulling them off is trickier… and thus more rewarding.

Replays are kept to goals rather than highlights, and everything moves at a pace which is refreshingly brisk and engaging. It’s reminiscent of playground ‘attack, attack, attack’ football where you can go solo instead of passing it around your team, but where’s the fun in that? Not to mention that constructing snappy and successful team moves across the smaller pitch dimensions is even more gratifying…      

With the option to play via Ultimate Team, Clubs, Kick Off and Career mode, the Rush experience could be an instant classic with some like-minded friends – but either way there’s even more in EA Sports FC 25’s locker that you’ll be able to unleash on the pitch when it all kicks off later this month on September 27.
