Printing directly from Canva is a straightforward process that allows users to bring their digital designs to life. From custom business cards to poster-sized prints, Canva provides a user-friendly platform that caters not only to design creation but also to printing needs. Users can print their designs using their personal printer or take advantage of Canva's professional printing service, which offers a variety of products and finishes.

how to print presentation from canva

Understanding how to properly prepare files for printing is crucial for achieving professional-quality prints. This involves selecting the right file format, checking design resolutions, and ensuring that the color configurations are set correctly. Whether you are aiming for a glossy finish on a flyer or a matte look on a business card, knowing how to adjust your design in Canva is key to getting the desired outcome.

Key Takeaways

  • Canva's platform provides functionality for both designing and printing a variety of products.
  • Proper file preparation is essential for achieving high-quality printed materials.
  • Choices of finish and material contribute to the final look and feel of Canva print products.

Getting Started with Canva

Canva is a versatile design platform that allows users to create a variety of visual content. Free users can access a wide array of features, making it suitable for personal use or small projects. For advanced features, Canva Pro is available, offering additional tools and resources for a more professional finish.

When a user signs up, they are guided through an intuitive interface where they can select design templates or start a project from scratch. Here is a quick guide to get started:

  • Choose a Template : Canva offers numerous pre-designed templates, organized by categories such as posters, presentations, or social media posts.
  • Images : Add stock photos or upload personal images.
  • Text : Insert text boxes with a variety of fonts and formatting options.
  • Elements : Utilize shapes, icons, and other graphical elements.
  • Save Your Work : It is important to regularly save designs. Canva autosaves progress, but users can also manually save versions to track changes.
  • Canva Pro : If users require more sophisticated tools, including advanced branding and collaboration features, upgrading to Canva Pro is an option to consider.

  • Duplicate Elements : Select the item to duplicate and press CTRL + D (Windows) or CMD + D (Mac).
  • Align objects : Use the alignment tools to ensure items are evenly spaced and aligned.

Users can explore Canva's user-friendly platform at their own pace. Whether starting with a basic template or experimenting with more complex designs, Canva supports users through each step of the creative process.

Preparing Your Design for Print

Before sending your Canva creation to the printer, ensuring that your design is properly set up is paramount. The design's file format, color accuracy, margins, and even the use of Canva’s specific elements all play a crucial role in the printing process.

Selecting the Correct File Format

For printing, the choice of file format is crucial. A PDF is the most versatile and commonly used format because it retains the layout and quality of your design across different platforms and devices. However, for images, a high-resolution PNG or JPG might suffice. It’s important to note that PNGs are preferred for images with transparent backgrounds.

Understanding Color Profiles

Color profiles, such as CMYK and RGB , affect how colors appear when printed. CMYK is the standard for print as it breaks down colors into four inks—cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black)—that combine during the printing process. On the other hand, RGB is used for digital designs as it represents colors on screens.

Setting Up Proper Margins and Bleed

Proper setup of margins and bleed ensures that your design does not have unintended borders or missing elements post-printing. Bleed refers to the area to be trimmed after printing. Canva's guidelines suggest adding an extra 1/8-inch around each side of your design to account for print bleed. Ensure that any essential parts of your design, like text or logos, are within the safe area, away from the margins.

Utilizing Canva Templates

Canva provides a variety of templates that are preformatted with various printing needs in mind. These templates often include guidelines for show print bleed and crop marks . By using a Canva template, you can streamline the design process, as most of the layout considerations for printing are already integrated into the template’s design.

Including Premium Elements

When using premium elements from Canva's library in your design, make sure you have the appropriate licenses to print these elements. Unlicensed use of premium elements can lead to legal issues or printing restrictions. Always review Canva's licensing agreement to ensure you're in compliance with their terms for print designs .

Printing from Canva

Printing your designs from Canva requires understanding the differences between home and professional printing, adjusting print settings appropriately, ensuring your PDFs are properly flattened, and optimizing the design’s resolution and print quality.

Using Home Printer vs. Professional Printing Service

Using a home printer for Canva designs can be convenient and cost-effective for small print runs. Selecting the correct paper type and adjusting the print settings to match the design's requirements are crucial steps. On the other hand, a professional printing service offers more options for paper quality, finishes, and sizes, delivering a higher quality for substantial or specialty print jobs. The Canva Print service also provides users with various customization options tailored to professional standards.

Configuring Print Options

The print options within Canva can greatly influence the final outcome. It's essential to review and adjust the printer settings to align with the design. This includes setting the correct dimensions, ensuring the color format is accurate, and including bleed and crop marks if necessary. The user should also preview the design in the PDF viewer to check the layout and view settings before printing.

Flattening PDF for Printing

To prevent any changes and ensure compatibility, it's recommended to flatten the PDF after finalizing the design in Canva. Flattening merges all layers into a single layer, which can help in avoiding issues with fonts and embedded graphics when the document is opened in different PDF viewers or sent to different printers.

Optimizing Resolution and Print Quality

High-quality printing demands that the design's resolution is optimized. The design should be set to a DPI (dots per inch) of at least 300, which is the standard for high-resolution prints. This ensures that the graphics and text appear crisp and clear on the print. Additionally, users should adjust any digital design elements to prevent pixelation and maintain the integrity of the final printed image.

Utilize the Help Center For users requiring assistance or seeking to understand common concerns noted in reviews, the Canva Help Center is a valuable resource. It provides detailed information and solutions for common issues related to printing.

By following these specific steps and understanding reviews, users can confidently use Canva Print to bring their designs to life.

Printing Specific Projects

When printing projects such as business cards, flyers, and invitations from Canva, attention to detail is crucial for a professional outcome. Each item has its own set of design considerations and print requirements to ensure the final product looks as intended.

Creating Business Cards and Flyers

Business cards and flyers are pivotal networking and marketing tools. It is essential to select the correct dimensions for these print designs in Canva. For business cards, the standard size is typically 3.5 x 2 inches, and flyers often range from 5.5 x 8.5 inches to larger formats like 11 x 17 inches. Using a 'PDF - Print' file format is advised for sharper details and richer colors, ensuring your design maintains quality during the print process.

Designing Invitations and Brochures

Invitations and brochures must balance aesthetic appeal with informative content. The design in Canva should reflect the event or message with appropriate themes and fonts. Before printing, one must consider the nature of the paper and finishing options. Matte and glossy finishes can greatly impact the final look. Print bleed settings should be activated to avoid unprinted edges, especially when your design includes background colors or images stretching to the border.

Personalizing Mugs, T-Shirts, and Labels

Custom merchandise like mugs, t-shirts, and labels provide a tangible way to showcase a brand or personal design. Canva's templates help tailor the dimensions and aesthetics to fit the product. For instance, t-shirt designs benefit from a larger and centered print area, while mugs and labels might require a wrap-around or a front-and-center design approach. Ensure to select high-resolution images and check the product's substrate compatibility with the ink or transfer method being used for printing.

Sharing and Collaboration

When printing from Canva, collaboration plays a crucial role. The platform enables users to share their designs seamlessly, facilitating feedback and collective editing which can be vital for the final print quality.

Using the Share Button

To initiate sharing in Canva, one uses the Share button located in the editor's interface. This feature lets users generate a link that provides access to the design for collaboration. It's imperative to:

  • Open the design intended for sharing.
  • Click on Share at the top corner of the editor.

Here is a brief outline of the steps to use the sharing function:

  • Select Share in the Canva editor.
  • Anyone with the link enables wider sharing.
  • Restrict access by selecting Only you or Only your team for private designs.
  • Can edit allows full collaborative editing.
  • Can view or Can comment provides more restricted options for viewership and feedback without editing rights.

Once the appropriate options are selected, the user can copy the link to share with others for collaboration. This link can then be distributed to team members or clients who can provide valuable input on the design before it goes to print.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

When printing designs from Canva, users might encounter various issues. This section provides guidance for addressing common problems by utilizing the Canva Help Center and leveraging Canva tutorials effectively.

Navigating Canva Help Center

The Canva Help Center is equipped to resolve most printing issues users face. It recommends ensuring that design elements have a high resolution, ideally set to 300 DPI, to avoid blurred or pixelated prints. Users should confirm that all images are of high quality before printing.

Leveraging Canva Tutorials

For hands-on learning, Canva tutorials offer step-by-step instructions. These include guidance on using the proper color settings for print and checking the document's bleed settings to ensure that no unprinted edges occur when the design is trimmed to size.

Optimizing Designs for Other Mediums

how to print presentation from canva

When preparing designs in Canva for use across various mediums, it's crucial to ensure they are tailored correctly for each platform. Integrations and visual elements such as photography and logos need special attention to function seamlessly with apps, websites, and social media.

Integrating with Apps and Websites

To ensure designs function well on different apps and websites, one must consider the format and resolution requirements specific to each platform. Apps may require PNG files for crisp transparency, whereas websites might favor optimized JPEGs for faster loading times. For instance, when preparing graphics for social media, consulting platform-specific guidelines ensures visuals are displayed as intended.

Effective Use of Photography and Logos

Photography and logos must be handled with precision to maintain their integrity across mediums. A logo should ideally be uploaded in a vector format like SVG to remain sharp on scaling. For photography, it's essential to optimize images for print with a resolution of 300 DPI to ensure clarity. On digital platforms, images should balance visual quality and file size for performance and quality presentation.

Concluding Tips for Canva Printing

When a user completes their design in Canva and is ready to bring it into the physical realm, printing is the immediate next step. To print from Canva for free , users simply need to download their design as a PDF and print it using their own resources, ensuring that no additional costs are incurred outside of printing materials.

One should remember that the print quality is greatly determined by the printer's capabilities. When the design is ready, on both Mac and Windows, the print command can be swiftly accessed with Command + P or Ctrl + P respectively. This simple shortcut expedites the printing process.

For those involved in marketing , the tangible elements—brochures, flyers, and posters—created in Canva can make a significant impact when printed correctly. Therefore, users should ensure the design's resolution and size match the printer's specifications to maintain the integrity of the visual content.

Before printing, users must:

  • Check the design's alignment and color consistency
  • Preview the PDF on the device to spot any errors
  • Select the correct printer and adjust settings for optimal quality
  • Use high-quality paper suited for the print job

These steps are critical in translating Canva's digital designs into high-quality printed materials that reflect the care and effort put into their creation. When users follow these guidelines, they can confidently produce prints that uphold the professional standards of their Canva designs.

Table of contents.

We’ve used Canva a ton here at our office to design flyers, brochures, social posts, you name it. But we always hit a roadblock when it came time to actually print our designs. After testing out Canva’s different printing options, we figured out the best ways to print from Canva for any project.

In this comprehensive guide, we’ll walk through the methods we found for printing your Canva designs—whether you want to print at home, use a professional service, or order printed products directly through Canva. We’ll also share the tips we learned to make sure your designs are print-ready before sending them off.

Printing Your Canva Designs at Home

A screenshot of a website with a mushroom in the background, featuring step-by-step instructions on "How to Print from Canva".

If you just need a few quick prints of your design—say for a school project or to test it out before professional printing—then printing directly from Canva to your home or office printer is the easiest option.

Here’s how we print from Canva using our own printer:

  • Open the Canva design you want to print.
  • Click the “Download” button in the top right corner.
  • Select “Print” from the dropdown menu. A print window will open up.
  • Make sure your printer is picked as the target printer.
  • Choose any settings like multiple pages per sheet or double-sided printing.
  • Hit “Print” and your design will be sent right over to your chosen printer.

What we like about using our own printer is that it’s fast, easy, and free. However, we found the quality isn’t as high as using a professional printing service. Home printers typically print in RGB colors, while professional printers use CMYK. And our home printer paper sizes and quality were pretty limited.

Still, for quick everyday printing needs, our own printer gets the job done. We just have to be aware of the color mode and any margin limitations if we want a borderless design.

Using a Professional Printing Service

When we needed higher quality, larger quantity, or specialty printing for client projects and events, using a professional printing service gave us way better results than home printing.

Here are some tips we followed to get pro prints of our Canva designs:

  • Convert color mode to CMYK  – We learned that professional printers require designs to be in CMYK color mode rather than RGB. In Canva, you can change the color profile of your design to CMYK.
  • Check resolution  – Print projects require a high resolution, usually around 300 dpi. We made sure to use high resolution images and elements before printing.
  • Add bleed  – Any prints that went fully to the edge needed bleed. We add 0.25 inch bleed in our Canva designs to account for margins during printing.
  • Include crop marks  – Adding crop marks in your Canva design will show the print shop where to make cuts.

Once our design is ready, we download it from Canva as a PDF print file. PDF is the standard format for most professional print jobs we found. Then, we upload the file to the printer’s website to place our order. We provide details like paper type, quantity, binding type, etc. The local print shop we use delivers the finished prints right to our office!

Using a professional printing service gives us stunning, high-quality results every time. The variety of paper types, binding options, finishing treatments, and print quantities available make print shops way better for most bigger projects.

Ordering Print Products Directly from Canva

We love that Canva makes it easy to order professionally printed products with your designs directly in the software. With Canva Print, we can purchase printed gifts, marketing materials, and more without having to export and submit our designs anywhere else.

A screen shot of the "share this design" page featuring instructions on how to print from Canva.

Here’s how we use Canva’s integrated printing services:

  • Design your project in Canva like normal.
  • Click the “Print” button in the top corner.
  • Browse Canva’s wide selection of print products like t-shirts, hats, mugs, cards, posters, and more.
  • Pick the quantities, colors, sizes, and other options.
  • Enter your name, shipping address, and payment info to checkout.
  • Canva handles production and ships your products directly to you!

The main advantage we found with Canva Print is the simplicity of keeping everything within Canva. There’s no extra steps to export your design and submit it elsewhere for printing. Plus, Canva offers great print quality with bulk discount pricing.

However, Canva Print does have some limitations we noticed:

  • More limited product selection than a full printing company. Mainly standard options like shirts, mugs, posters.
  • Must use Canva’s templates. Not as much customization of paper type, bindings, etc.
  • Products ship from Australia, so allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.

For quick one-off print jobs, Canva Print is super easy to use. But for specialized products and large orders, a dedicated printer has better options.

Tips for Print Success with Canva

Follow these best practices when designing in Canva to ensure your project looks amazing when printed:

  • Use high resolution images at least 300dpi. Canva’s image library has tons of print-ready options.
  • Avoid thin fonts and text below 16pt that won’t print clearly.
  • Use CMYK colors for vivid reproductions. Canva shows the CMYK values in the color picker.
  • Check margins and add 0.25in bleed for full bleed edge-to-edge printing.
  • Save as a PDF Print file for best print quality.
  • Order a sample print first before big bulk orders.
  • For pro printing, request specific paper types and ink color samples.
  • Allow extra time for printing and delivery from online services.

With these tips for print success, you can feel confident your Canva designs will look amazing whether you print at home or order through a pro printer. Canva makes it so easy to take your digital designs into the real world in printed form.

Thanks to Canva’s user-friendly design tools and seamless printing options, it’s easier than ever to turn your digital creations into professional quality print projects. Start designing today and carry your vision from screen to the printed page with Canva’s robust printing integrations.

How to Print Your Designs From Canva

Once you’ve created a Canva project, printing your design isn’t always as easy as clicking a button. There are a few things you need to check before you print. Margins, bleed, and color palette are all considerations to set before printing.

Fortunately, with a little know-how, Canva has a streamlined process for getting a project print-ready.

Configure Your Canva Designs for Printing

Before printing a design from Canva, you need to modify your configuration settings.

Design Margins & Bleeding

The first things you’ll want to be aware of are your margins and your bleed. First, enable your visual margins to ensure that nothing is going to get cut off when the design prints.

Showing the margins is a simple process:

  • Click on File in the menu bar.
  • Mouse over View settings .
  • Select the Show margins option from the dropdown.

The drop-down file menu in Canva.

Once you’ve activated the visual margins on the design, look at the viewing area. There should be a dashed line running all the way around the inside of the design. Ensure there aren’t any important design elements or text running past those dashed lines.

These lines represent the edge of the printable surface, meaning that anything beyond them may be cut off during the printing process. If any important design elements fall outside the border, rearrange things until they are back on the inside.

The next item you’ll want to check out is the design’s bleed:

  • Select the Show print bleed option from the dropdown.

Once you’ve selected this option, you should check the outside edge of your design. If you see a white bar running around any of the outer edges, this is an indication that your design isn’t running all the way to what will be the edge of your paper.

To fix an error with the bleed, you can stretch your background to be slightly larger than the canvas. Stretching the background will correct the white space and ensure that your design stretches to the edge of the page.

Canva Color Setups

A set of color swatch cards fanned out on a flat surface.

Once you’ve checked that your full design will show up on the page when it’s printed, you’ll next need to configure your color settings. Most monitors use an RGB color scheme, but most printers use a CMYK palette. Ensuring your monitor is calibrated is a good idea.

Printing your work without changing the colors first will result in colors appearing differently on paper than they did on the screen. There are two different ways to change out your color scheme.

The first is to use CMYK colors from the start of your project. Canva has a detailed tutorial on how to convert elements to the proper palette.

The alternative option is to download the CMYK color copy of your design. We will go over everything you need to know about downloading the design in the next section.

It is worth noting that if you are planning to print a design directly from Canva, you are better off with option one. It will mean that you will need to enter all of your colors manually, which will take more time to set up, but you won’t have to worry about converting later.

Download Your Canva Design

Once your design is fully set up, and you are certain your bleed and margin settings are properly configured, you’ll have to prepare for printing. If you plan to print your design elsewhere, or you would rather distribute it to a different system before printing, you’ll need to download it.

On the top right-hand corner of the screen, click the Share button to pop up a set of options for distributing your design. Toward the bottom of the list, you will see a Download button. Click on it to bring up the download settings.

Here you can see several configuration options in a pull-down menu that will change the file that you receive. Select PDF Print as your file type.

The share menu in Canva

After choosing your file type, if you designed your project with standard colors, you’ll need to choose CMYK from the Color Profile dropdown (which requires a Canva Pro account). Depending on your end goal, you may also want to select show crop marks and bleed.

The Crop marks and bleed option will add the dashed lines to the end product, showing you where to cut once printed.

Print Your Canva Designs

Once you’ve prepped your design, you can either print it at home or send it out to a professional printer. Which option you choose will largely depend on your project’s requirements. If you can print on standard paper, and don’t need bulk copies, an at-home print job will certainly suffice.

If, however, you are printing something that requires special paper, something too big to fit on printer paper, or you need tons of copies, a pro might be better.

Printing Canva Designs at Home

A home office setup with a desktop computer and a printer on a large desk.

If you plan to print your designs at home, you have two different options to print. You can either download the PDF of your design as outlined above, or print directly from Canva.

Printing from a PDF is the best option if you didn’t make your design using the CMYK color scheme. Downloading the print-quality copy of the PDF with the correct color palette will convert it from RGB before you print it. Once downloaded, you can open the PDF in your PDF viewer of choice and print just as you normally would. Here's how to make the most of your home printer .

If you created your design with a print color scheme, you can print directly from Canva, skipping the download process. Use the print option under the file menu to open the standard print dialog for your system.

Sending Out Your Canva Design for Printing

An industrial style printer printing a document out.

If you need to have your project printed by a professional print shop , your best bet is to download the print-quality PDF. Double-check with your printer of choice to find out their preferences on print color, bleed marks, and margins, and configure your download to match.

If they work with Canva routinely, a faster option may be to share a link with them. Click on the Share button and find the link section. Here you can copy a link directly to the project, and configure your project so that anyone with the link will be able to access it.

Everything You Need to Know About Printing Canva Designs

Canva makes the process of printing for designers straightforward and simple. With a little extra configuration, you can convert a digital design to a paper one. Always check your margins, bleed, and color profile before you print, and download a print-quality PDF for the best results.

Designers can print their projects from the comfort of their own homes, right from Canva. For those who need a more complex print job, or don’t want to take the time to configure their own printer, sending out a link or file to be professionally printed is also simple through Canva.

How to Print from Canva Using Your Personal Printer

From designing to printing, Canva makes it extremely easy.

Sakshi Garg

Using Canva, it’s extremely easy to design professional-looking graphics. You don’t need to be a professional to use Canva. With its intuitive drag-and-drop approach, you’ve finally created your first design.

Whether you were designing cards for your business or flyers for a yard sale, when you went ahead to print it, the only option you could find is Canva’s printing service. But you have your own printer and don’t want to spend money on their printing services.

No worries, you can print your designs using your personal printer. You can download your design and print it like any other file on your computer. It’s as easy. But when printing your designs, there are some things you need to pay attention to. Let’s see what all that’s about.

Before You Download your Design to Print

Downloading your design for printing is a piece of cake. But before you download your design, you need to make sure that your design is print-ready. From colors of the print to bleed and crop marks, a lot of thought goes into making your design print-ready.

Use the Right Colors

Printing the design on paper is different than publishing it online. When publishing a design online, you don’t have to worry about colors. In fact, you get to create designs with diverse color palettes. But print colors are not as rich and diverse as screen colors.

So, it’s better to use colors that are print-friendly. Canva suggests using CMYK colors for the designs you intend to print. The Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black color model refers to the ink plates used in printing instead of the RGB color values computer screens use. You can use an online CMYK color picker to build your color palette for CMYK colors.

You can either create your designs as you normally do and then make a copy and change the colors to CMYK equivalents in the copy or use CMYK colors, to begin with.

Check Margins

Before printing any designs, make sure that any important design elements aren’t cut while printing them. For that, always ensure that important information or design elements are inside the margins.

Open your design and go to the ‘File’ option on the editor menu bar.

Then, select ‘Show margins’ from the menu that appears.

A border of broken lines will appear on all the pages in the design. Rearrange any important elements to fall inside the margins.

Check for Print Bleed

When printing, it’s paramount to check for print bleed to make sure there are no white gaps at the edge of the paper or card.

how to print presentation from canva

Go to the ‘File’ option from the editor menu bar and click ‘Show print bleed’ from the menu.

A border of broken lines will appear close to the edge of the design. You cannot fix or move this margin. If there are any white gaps beyond this border, adjust your background to cover it entirely.

Double-click the background to edit it. Then, drag and drop the edges to cover the gaps completely. You can also resize any elements you don’t mind being cut around the edges.

Download and Print Your Design

Once you’ve tweaked the design with all the necessary requirements, it’s ready for download. Click the ‘Share’ button from the editor menu bar.

Then, click ‘Download’ from the menu.

Go to the option for ‘File type’ and click the format underneath it to expand the drop-down menu.

how to print presentation from canva

Select ‘PDF Print’ from the available file formats. This is the option you need to choose every time you want to print high-quality designs.

how to print presentation from canva

Check the option for ‘Crop marks and bleed’ so you know where to trim the paper once you print the design. If you don’t want crop marks, leave this option unchecked.

how to print presentation from canva

Finally, click the ‘Download’ button. If you have any premium elements in the design, click ‘Pay and download’ and pay for the element first.

how to print presentation from canva

The PDF for the design will be downloaded in the Downloads folder of your computer. You can now print it like any other document.

Open the PDF and click the ‘Print’ option or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P (for Windows) and Command + P (for Mac).

Select your Printer model and make sure it supports printing in the size of your design. Set the scale to 100% to ensure the design is printed in the correct size and click ‘Print’.

Canva is a great place to make your own designs when you’re on a budget. And once you’ve created your design, printing it is a no-brainer either. All you have to do is tweak some settings and you’re good to go.

What are Tips for Printing from Canva?

To get the best quality prints from Canva, follow the given easy tips to ensure the utmost quality of your prints:

  • Use Correct and High-Resolution Images: To ensure your designs maintain clarity and avoid pixelation when printed, make sure the images and graphics you use have a high resolution.
  • Use Eye-Friendly Fonts: Avoid using decorative fonts, especially in small print sizes, as they can be challenging to read. By choosing fonts that prioritize readability, you ensure that your message is clear and easily comprehensible.
  • Check for Bleeds: Bleed is the extra area extending beyond the design’s edge, allowing for trimming during the printing process. Canva makes it easy by providing a bleed option when you download your design as a PDF Print file. This ensures a professional and polished finish for your printed materials.
  • Use Suitable Margins: Use appropriate margins to ensure your design elements are not cut off during printing.
  • Choose Paper Type wisely: Select the appropriate paper type based on your design and intended use. For instance, glossy paper might suit photo-heavy designs, while matte paper works well for text-heavy documents.
  • Proofread your Design: Before sending your design to print, take a moment to proofread it carefully for any errors or inconsistencies. Check for typos, misaligned elements, and potential color discrepancies.

Printing Multiple Canva Slides on One Page

If you have created a presentation in Canva and want to print multiple slides on one page, this is a straightforward process. Here are the steps you need to follow:

Step 1: Open Canva Presentation

Open the Canva presentation that you want to print. Click on the “Download” button in the top right corner of the screen, and select “PDF Print” from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Select the Slides to Print

In the “PDF Print” dialog box, you will see a preview of your presentation. You can select the slides that you want to print by clicking on the thumbnail images on the left-hand side of the screen. To select multiple slides, hold down the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard while clicking on the thumbnails.

Step 3: Adjust Print Settings

Next, you will need to adjust the print settings to ensure that the slides are printed on one page. In the “PDF Print” dialog box, click on the “Crop and Bleed” box. This will enable you to adjust the margins of the page and the size of the slides.

You can adjust the margins by dragging the sliders or entering values manually. You can also adjust the size of the slides by selecting “Scale to Fit” and entering a percentage value. Make sure that the “Orientation” is set to “Landscape” to ensure that the slides are printed side-by-side on the same page.

Step 4: Preview and Print

Once you have adjusted the print settings, click on the “Download” button to save the PDF file to your computer. Open the PDF file and preview the slides to ensure that they are formatted correctly.

Finally, select “Print” from the “File” menu or press “Ctrl+P” on your keyboard to print the slides. Make sure that your printer is set to “Landscape” orientation and that it is capable of printing on the paper size that you have selected.

By following these simple steps, you can easily print multiple Canva slides on one page and save paper and ink in the process.

Tips and Tricks

Useful keyboard shortcuts.

Canva has a number of keyboard shortcuts that can help you work more efficiently. Here are a few that can be particularly useful when printing multiple slides on one page:

  • Ctrl+A (or Cmd+A on a Mac): Select all elements on the page.
  • Ctrl+C (or Cmd+C on a Mac): Copy the selected elements.
  • Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V on a Mac): Paste the copied elements.
  • Ctrl+D (or Cmd+D on a Mac): Duplicate the selected elements.
  • Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on a Mac): Undo the previous action.

Optimizing Slide Size

When printing multiple slides on one page, it’s important to optimize the size of each slide to ensure that they fit on the page without losing any important details. One way to do this is to adjust the size of each slide in Canva before printing. To do this, simply select the slide you want to adjust and use the resize tool to make it smaller or larger as needed.

Choosing the Right Paper and Printer

Choosing the right paper and printer can also be important when printing multiple slides on one page. For best results, use a high-quality printer and choose a paper that is compatible with your printer and the type of printing you’re doing. For example, if you’re printing a lot of text, you may want to choose a paper that is designed for text printing, while if you’re printing photos, you may want to choose a paper that is designed for photo printing.

In addition, be sure to check the settings on your printer to ensure that they are optimized for the type of printing you’re doing. For example, if you’re printing photos, you may want to adjust the printer settings to use a higher resolution or to print in color.

By following these tips and tricks, you can print multiple Canva slides on one page with ease and get the results you want.
