Best Prezi Presentation Examples

Prezi is a great online tool and it can be used to make amazing presentations. It is mostly known for the zooming features, however it can be used to create something much more creative, because in addition to zooming it also allows presenters to combine animations, videos, audio and images.

Here are some of the best examples of the different types of effects that can be achieved with Prezi Classic in addition to only zooming around.

Prezi and Video

Prezi supports video, we all know that! However you can create much more creative presentations if you don’t simply insert a video for watching but rather use it as a part of the background. Here is a great example (probably the best) of using a video as a background in Prezi. Create your presentation inside a car with a moving road background.

Flash Animations (Not Supported Anymore)

3d backgrounds, multiple 3d backgrounds..

Prezi supports up to 3 different background images, which will appear as you zoom in. This feature can be used to create something interesting, for example a day image turns into a night background while zooming in more.

7 Outstanding Example Presentations Using Prezi

' src=

Prezi is a presentation tool that helps transform lack-luster, static presentations into engaging presentations that tell a story.

Instead of moving slide to slide, like a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation, Prezi presentations capture content in a spatial context. Because of this, your audience may be more engaged with your presentation.

If you’ve been using PowerPoint, you can import an existing PowerPoint presentation and transform it into a Prezi.

Let’s take a look at some example presentations using Prezi that demonstrate how this tool can be used to take your presentations to the next level.

1. Prezi Overview

Prezi overview

This Prezi shows the company’s history, some of the people using Prezi, and how to import a PowerPoint and get started with Prezi.

This is a great example of how to effectively use Prezi and also gives you an idea of the features you will find in the program. It does a great job of illustrating Prezi’s story using images , facts and statistics.

By featuring a how-to on importing a PowerPoint file, Prezi highlights one of it’s main selling points.

To close, showing specific examples of people who use Prezi is a great way to show the value Prezi brings to a market that otherwise hasn’t seen much innovation.

2. Obama vs Romney

prezi obama vs romney/

This Prezi states the simple facts about each candidate in the 2012 election. The presentation flows from one segment to the next rather than jumping from slide to slide.

It presents the facts in an understandable way, and because of the format and segmented design, it’s easy to compare the two candidates.

Most successful presentations end in some sort of call to action . Appropriately, this one calls you to vote!

3. Prezi Book – Mastering Prezi for Business Presentations

prezi book mastering prezi for business presentations/

Russel (The Prezenter) Anderson-Williams wrote the book on using Prezi for business presentations (literally!). This is his presentation to promote his book.

In it, he uses embedded video, audio and hyperlinks to tell his story and walks the listener through how to do all these things within Prezi.

The illustrative style of the presentation puts the watcher in the learning seat which goes hand-in-hand with the educational nature of the presentation. Tying the design to the objective of the presentation helps make this Prezi successful.

To conclude the presentation, there are a couple calls to action including clicking on links to purchase the book and signing up for his online Prezi training course.

4. A Presentation on Presentations

prezi copy of presentation on presentations/

In this Prezi about how to effectively make a Prezi, the presenter walks you through the reasons why Prezi’s format is conducive to creating a memorable experience and triggering action among your audience.

It walks you through important aspects of any presentation, like making you feel emotion and telling a story, while also showcasing the templates and features Prezi has available.

The presentation is sprinkled with facts and examples throughout, which adds interest and lends credibility to the presenter.

5. The Magical Theory of Relativity

prezi the magical theory of relativity/

Can Prezi make learning about the theory of relativity fun? See for yourself in this great Prezi created by Petra Marjai.

The Prezi tells the story of how the theory came about and also uses illustrative examples from everyday life to explain the theory.

Aside from great story telling and examples, this Prezi is also a great example because of the simple color palette that is used consistently throughout the presentation.

Another of its successes is good typographic hierarchy. The main points are in large text, while the smaller points are in smaller text – similar to cascading bullet points in a traditional PowerPoint, but much more differentiated and engaging.

6. Red Bull Stratos

Red Bull Stratos

This Prezi on the Red Bull Stratos free-fall stunt was created to tell the story around the stunt. It gives background on the purpose, facts and goals about the process as well as a link to more information. It also utilizes an embedded video and link.

The last screen of the presentation shows the full context of the story in one large view. With longer presentations, it might not be realistic to zoom out and show the whole story in one view, but for a short story like this, it’s a great method to show how all the points relate back to the larger context of the story.

7. Mathematweets

prezi mathematweets/

This last example of a successful Prezi was created by Maria Andersen to illustrate how Twitter can be used in the education system. It uses well-crafted illustrations to go beyond teaching about what Twitter is and how it can be used, to telling the story of how it was used (both successfully and unsuccessfully) in the cyber classroom.

The illustrator uses cartoon people and branches of a tree to ask and answer questions, seamlessly transitioning from point to point and question to question. The branches and people, and the ability to see the entire frame in view at once, shows the correlation and context of the various questions and answers.

A call to action, story telling, and using spatial context to visualize ideas are all key elements that make these presentations successful.

The 11 Best Features of Prezi to Create Meaningful Presentations

Prezi is an all-in-one communication and collaboration suite that takes care of slideshows, graphic designing, and even social media posts. It has features like Prezi Design, Prezi Video, and Prezi Present to make notable presentations.

In this article, we outline the features of Prezi that make you a master of presentations.

Open Canvas Slideshows

Prezi slideshow canvas is a fresh and more creative approach to slideshow making than any other apps. All the slideshow pages show up in one large canvas. The following features are essential in designing great presentations:

1. Zooming on Topics

Prezi calls individual slides topics. So, you can add multiple topics to increase the length of the presentation. Within each topic, you can add many subtopics. You can control how a subtopic appears and moves away within a slide by choosing different Subtopic layouts .

If you zoom onto a topic, that element will open as a new slide so that you can make fine adjustments. You can also zoom in on subtopics.

2. Free Movements

Unlike other slideshow makers, you don’t need to go back and forth to revisit the previous slide during the presentation. All you need to do is zoom out to maximum by scrolling up the mouse wheel, and then drag the canvas to pinpoint a topic that you want to revisit. Now, zoom in again to open that slide.

3. Zoom Reveal

In usual slideshow makers, all elements are visible on the slide unless you apply transitions. It's a time-consuming task. However, the Zoom Reveal feature of Prezi helps you show critical details as you keep unfolding the story.

Add multiple subtopics within primary topics. By zooming in on the subtopics, you can generate a creative effect of unfolding new facts as you go on with the presentation.

Drag-and-Drop Slideshow Building

Prezi makes slideshow making simple through their drag-and-drop slideshow editor. The following are the basic elements that you need to create a professional presentation:

You can use the Prezi Design tool to create informative charts and graphs. You can simply pick a pre-built infographic or chart from the canvas and edit that to meet your requirements. Furthermore, you’ll find many pre-built formats like Reports, Dashboards, Email Headers, Posters, Social Posts, etc.

5. Element Blocks

Prezi’s presentation builder looks kind of a modular tool. You’ve got everything that you need in the Explorer menu on the right side. All you need to do is choose the one you like and place it on the canvas. In this app, you don’t need to draw shapes from scratch.

You can right-click on the canvas to bring up the menu where you’ll find element blocks for text, image, and topic. On the same menu, you’ll see the option to modify the background. Prezi has an image library of royalty-free images for you to use.

You can further beautify the slideshow by applying custom color for the topics and subtopics. The Subtopic layouts enable you to customize the way topics appear on the final presentation.

The Prezi media library consists of royalty-free Photos , GIFs , and Stickers . When you click the Insert image option from the menu, the library appears automatically on the right-hand side.

You can drag-and-drop images or stickers to your canvas and customize them by right-clicking on any media. You may also upload your own media or embed videos from other sources to play them directly in the presentation slides.

7. Professional Branding

Branding is an essential part of your profession. Therefore, branding shouldn’t be a complicated task. That’s where Prezi becomes useful. From the Change colors option, you can access the right-side menu that shows many color palettes.

Click on the Create new icon to define your own brand color palette. When you create a second presentation, you can select this personalized palette to apply your brand design.

Smart Presentations

Don’t just present! Show your creativity, knack for technology, and professional body language when presenting in video meetings. That’s how smart the Prezi presentation is. Here are some of the features that help you along the way:

8. Slideshows on Video

Picture-in-picture mode for video call-based slides presentation could become boring. However, when your slideshow and you appear on the same screen, that’s way more interesting.

You get an elaborate presentation console where you can adjust slideshows and your video to maintain the flow. You can show gestures that perfectly sync with a certain figure or chart appearing on the screen or moving away.

9. Offline Presentation

If you need to present slides when there is no Wi-Fi connectivity, you can do that on Prezi. For offline presentation purposes, there is a desktop app that you can download on laptops.

You can also install the Prezi smartphone app on an Android or iOS mobile. Then you can download essential presentations from your account when you get the internet. Now, sync your mobile with your laptop by using the Start remote feature on the mobile app and present offline.

10. Presenter Tools

Prezi offers smart tools to help you present effortlessly. It has different features for presentations like Presenter view, Live Prezi, and Voice-over.

Presenter view shows you talking points, prompts, and notes while you present the slide decks. You can only see this extra content on your device and not the audience. Live Prezi turns boring presentations into engaging live-streaming.

You can share a secured link within the target community so that the invitees can stream your presentations on their devices. Here, Voice-over helps you record the stepwise narration.

11. Analyze Presentation Performance

Prezi has an elaborate tool to give you an idea about your slideshow performance. The View Analytics tool helps you measure metrics like time spent, viewership, and shares. Here is how the slideshow analytics help different professionals:

  • Teachers can find out if the students are going through the slide decks or not. They can also know which students didn’t view the slides.
  • A freelance designer can discover if the public likes the slide decks or not by analyzing the views, shares, and total hours spent per viewer.

Present Ideas or Data in an Immersive Way

The above-mentioned features of Prezi enable you to create and present slideshows in a way that makes the audience happy. You’ll be able to communicate your data to the mass in an immersive set up where video, content, and design work hand in hand.

Like Prezi, there are other potential slideshow-making apps that you can also try out to choose the one that suits your style.

Our 2021 Staff Picks: The year’s best Prezi videos

Get your team on prezi – watch this on demand video.

Meghan Ryan November 30, 2021

Discover the best Prezi video presentations, hand-picked by our editors based on a number of factors, including design and content quality. It’s an eclectic mix of winning entries from business professionals, industry experts, influencers, and educators. Hear from Prezi’s Editorial Director, Lorraine Lee, as she describes what we liked about each one:

Ready to check them out? Here’s our list of the year’s best videos .

Using copy to engage on social media

Social media is an essential part of marketing. Not only do most companies use social media to connect with their audiences, many are also building out amplification and advocacy programs with their employees to expand their reach. With such broad use, there’s never been a better time to fine-tune your social media copy.

That’s why we’ve included this excellent how-to video by Ashley Faus , Content Strategy Lead at Atlassian, who discusses tips for writing more engaging copy. She provides tangible, hands-on advice for everyone representing a brand on social media, whether you’re handling a brand account or advocating as an employee. What we love about her video is her straightforward, easy-to-follow framework, as well as her friendly on-screen demeanor. With Prezi Video , her content appears next to her on screen, allowing her to maintain eye contact with the audience and use her hands for emphasis throughout the video. The result is a really engaging video, full of smart and usable tips.

Watch Ashley’s video here:

How to use Prezi Video for product demos

Traditionally, sales people would travel to demo a physical product in person, but would still fire up a presentation to go into greater detail. Now that most product demonstrations are taking place virtually, the presenter is often relegated to a small window of the screen, which can be a bit underwhelming.

Russell Anderson-Williams , founder of presentation design company The Prezenter, blends the in-person experience and the virtual presentation to demo a product like you’ve never seen before. He uses Prezi Video to handle the physical product and show its details next to him on screen. The greatest part of his demonstration is that neither the presenter nor the product are at a disadvantage – both are important elements of the presentation and both are at the forefront.

Watch Russell’s video here for a great example of a product demo:

Engaging the audience at home

What Bonnie Zix’s video shows is that your online lessons can be fun and educational. Here she teaches her students how to extract DNA from a banana, while keeping the instructions and key information below her on the screen. This makes it easy for students to follow along with her demonstration and take note of important details.

This is a great way to engage students at home. While students would be able to see the demonstration and read information on the whiteboard in person, virtual classrooms are sometimes at a disadvantage. Bonnie’s video takes advantage of Prezi Video’s options to create an experience that’s perhaps even more engaging than being therein person.

Check out her video to see for yourself:

Demonstrating and practicing

In a virtual classroom, the time you have with your students is one of the most vital parts of your teaching, but Nucleo’s video uses his time off screen to an advantage. His video teaches students to count eighth-note subdivisions. When he’s first demonstrating the count at the beginning of the video, he appears on screen next to the information. As soon as he wants students to practice the count, he lets his  content take over, making it easier for them to focus and perform the count themselves.

Watch Nucleo’s video for a great example of a demonstration and practice lesson:

Grab attention by starting with a story

Elena Valentine starts her presentation with the ultimate attention grabber: a good story. What we love about this opener is that it expertly proves her point that storytelling is a great way to get your audience’s attention and make yourself more relatable. Throughout her video, she discusses the reasons storytelling is effective, shows examples of great storytelling by other presenters, and gives you tips to get started.

Elena is the CEO of the media production company Skill Scout, so she knows a thing or two about engaging content. This video shows off her expert use of color and imagery, and is paced to flow smoothly through the beginning, middle, and end of her presentation.

Discover B2B marketing’s next big role

“If you go back in time and you think about who started innovating first in business, it was the B2B marketers,” notes Carla Johnson , keynote speaker and bestselling author. In her video on innovation and intrapreneurship, Carla speaks directly to the innovator in every B2B marketer. She points out the moments in which B2B marketers have driven change in their industries and have transformed other essential parts of business, such as branding and customer experience.

This is a really effective way to energize her audience and get them excited about learning what they can do to continue spurring innovation. She also uses a bright template and beautiful imagery to keep the audience engaged.

Watch her video for a great example of a conference presentation:

How to get someone to change their mind

“No.” Whether you’re a leader, a parent, a salesperson, or practically anyone else on this planet, you’re probably used to this obstacle of a word by now. And if you’re a reporter like Jessica Marble, it’s an answer you’ll need to learn to overcome.

In this video, Jessica teaches you how to persuade someone to give you something important (such as an interview) when they’re hesitant or resistant. She does a great job detailing how to do this, kicking it off with the three Ps – persistence, politeness, and patience. She also uses a lot of GIFs and animation throughout her video that engage the viewer and make the video more eye-catching. The result is a straightforward video providing the audience with a clear path to follow.

Learn about the three Ps of persuasion and more here:

How to make your Prezi presentations impactful

Joshua Peterse is a specialist at the presentation powerhouse Missing Link who motivates his audience to make better presentations. “It’s time for you to find a way to share your content in a way that’s really interesting, because the truth of the matter is that attention is now a diminishing resource.”

You may think that designing an intricate slide is the best way to grab attention, but your narrative is actually going to do the most effective work. Your presentation design should enhance your narrative, not overwhelm it.

That means you have to rethink the way you design your presentations. As Josh puts it, it’s not that we’re designing slides; “we’re now designing scenes.” To help you get started, he shares six simple examples of scenes, and how to create them in Prezi Video. Watch his video here to check them out:

Presentation mistakes executives and managers make

Boris Hris t ov is the founder of the presentation agency 356labs. As he notes, “virtual meetings and hybrid meetings are here to stay, so our people need to know how to communicate through those channels.” He urges his audience to deliver presentation trainings that take virtual tools into consideration, and teach trainees how to use them in tandem with more traditional presentation skills.

His video dissects common presentation mistakes made by people who need to be good communicators: executives and managers. He does a great job providing details and solutions for each mistake, and makes his presentation easy to follow with bright visuals, a clean template, and subtle animations. He also takes advantage of Prezi Video’s capabilities by going full-screen when he wants to make an important point.

Watch Boris’ video here:

A quick introduction

Professor Robert Morgan provides this introductory video to new students at Washington University in St. Louis. At just over 90 seconds long, he doesn’t have much time to make an impact, but with a simple template, photos, and some fun tips like his favorite spot on campus, he’s able to create an introduction that gets students excited to see their new school.

Video is a great way to engage your students virtually. We love that Robert uses Prezi Video to show his content next to him on screen, perfect for an introduction when students aren’t that familiar with him yet.

Watch his full video here:

There are so many ways to use Prezi Video to create interesting, memorable videos that break through the everyday noise and make a point that sticks with an audience. These are just a few of the best videos we’ve seen this year, but there’s a lot more where these came from. Check out our Video Gallery for more videos, or create your own video today. You might just be our next staff pick!
