LudacusSony is equipping content creator with a new wireless mic to help take the hassle out of vlogging and interview audio. A wired ECM-LV1 Compact Stereo Lavalier Microphone that pairs perfectly with the ECM–W2BT is also available.
The ECM-W2BT comes with both a wireless transmitter and receiver. The transmitter features an omnidirectional mic capsule that is able to pick up clear audio from any direction close to the speaker’s mouth.
If you have a compatible Sony camera, the receiver supports a Digital Audio Interface via the Multi Interface shoe of the camera for clear, low-noise, all-digital audio.
The ECM-W2BT also has an attenuator function that lets you easily adjust recording levels easily to match the source. Simply flip a switch to reduce the loud noises or amplify the quiet ones.
Outdoors recording is also now a breeze with the included wind screen. Simply put it on to effectively reduce the wind noise as well as breathing noise for a clear and stable audio recording quality even when shooting outdoors on a windy day!
One of the biggest concerns when using a wireless microphone is the stability and quality of the wireless transmission. The ECM-W2BT uses Qualcomm® aptX™ Low Latency Bluetooth® codec for transmission between the microphone and receiver units for the best wireless audio quality. This also greatly reduces the risk of interruption to the audio stream, even in crowded settings with a lot of wireless activity.
If you’re not using a Sony camera with an MI Shoe, the ECM-W2BT also supports a variety of cameras with the 3.5mm stereo mini jack output.
For a more discreet and convenient audio recording, you can also choose to pair the ECM-W2BT with the ECM-LV1 Compact Stereo Lavalier Microphone. Its simple all-black unobtrusive design enables a distraction-free audio recording with a 360-degrees clip rotation that can be positioned anywhere on your clothes.
The Sony ECM-W2BT Wireless MicroPhone comes with a transmitter, a receiver, a wind screen, 3.5mm audio cable, a USB charging cable, a receiver holder and a pouch.
