Add a Topic to a series of records with Data Loader

Prepare your CSV file
- Export the Topics object via Data Loader
- Get the ID on the URL of the Topic record page. (In Salesforce Classic, the ID is after "id=" while in Lightning Experience, the ID is between "Topic/" and "/view".)
Insert the records to the Record (TopicAssignment) object using Data Loader
- If your csv contains rows where Topic-Record combinations are duplicated, the import will fail.
- For example, Data Loader will not accept 2 row with Topic A and Record A. Be sure to de-duplicate data before importing.
- An ExternalID cannot be used to map to EntityId, it must be the standard Record Id.
