How To Read Your Electric Bill
At HomeWorks Tri-County Electric, we understand that utility bills can be complicated. We try to keep our bill as simple as possible for you. For information on how to read your bill, click here .

YOUR PAYMENT OPTIONS
For your convenience, we offer several simple bill payment options. Read more below:
1. Automatic Bill Payment
Sign up for our Auto-Pay Program. You will receive a copy of your bill in time to question any differences, but your bank electronically transfers the amount due to HomeWorks Tri-County Electric on the due date. Apply here , or call us at 800-562-8232 to learn more.
2. Pay Online Via SmartHub
Use the Pay Now link to the left to pay your bill without registering your account for SmartHub, or use the Log In link to review your current bill or your account history and make your payment any time, day or night.
3. Pay By Phone
You can make a check or credit card payment over the phone by calling 844-963-2875.
4. Pay At Our Offices
Pay in person via our lobby or drive-thru at either office in Portland or Blanchard, where we also accept credit cards. (Note: Our office lobbies and drive-thrus are currently closed due to COVID-19.) You can use the night deposit box at either office after regular office house and on weekends. For your protection, do not deposit cash in the box.
5. Mail Your Payment
Send payments to: HomeWorks, 7973 E. Grand River Ave. Portland, MI 48875.
When you pay your bill by mail, send a check or money order. DO NOT SEND CASH through the mail. To help us credit your payment correctly, include the bill stub and write the account number on your check, particularly if the name on the check does not match the name on the bill.
Allow at least five days before the due date for the payment to reach our offices. When a due date falls on a weekend or legal holiday, we extend it to the next regular business day. Call either office if you want to be sure your payment has reached us.

Pay As You Go Service
This prepaid service is a great options for members who want to take control of their electricity and expenses. You choose when, how and what amount you pay each month. With no deposits, late fees or reconnect fees, you have complete control. Call us to learn more.
Budget Billing
Sign up for budget billing and minimize monthly bill spikes by averaging your payments over 12 months. You can start any time of year, once you have established 12 months of usage in your own name. Call us to learn more.
About Past Due Bills
Michigan low income energy assistance fund.
Your board of directors voted to opt in to the Michigan Low Income Energy Assistance Fund for 2020. Opting in means that our qualifying members in need will be allowed to access funds provided by the program, which was established by the Michigan legislature to assist low-income, at-risk residents with their utility bills. Opting in also means that our members are charged a monthly surcharge of less than $1 on their electric bill to contribute to the fund. Learn more .

NOVEMER 2013: Our outage map now shows 98 members still out of power. Most of our crews are now working in the northern part of our service area to get those last repairs made and power restored to all members.
